Don & Sharon Endsley Create a One of A Kind Show Not Seen Since the Days of ‘Buffalo Bill’ Cody
“…it’s pageantry of the American West on a grand scale…” American Cowboy Magazine

“We met in 1966 by chance of fate while performing at a county fair and a month later we got married
in our jeans and boots at the local preacher’s house, we were 18 years old …”
That was 47 years ago.  In 1996 Don and Sharon Endsley decided it was time to create a new modern
day version of the ‘Wild West’ show and just as Legendary American showman ‘Buffalo Bill ‘ had
done in the 1800’s. Don and Sharon searched for the very best award winning performers, daredevil
trick riders, trick ropers, roman riders, Native American ‘Hoop Dancers’, a rip-roarin  Old West
stagecoach, Texas  Longhorns and spectacular ’Western’ acts of all kinds, add spot lighting,
production music, dramatic effects, a touch of Western history and lots of action and thrills…and the
Great American Wild West Show was born.

Don had produced a Western variety show for the Houston Livestock Show in the 80’s and 90’s.  The
crowds and response were huge and other State Fairs and Festivals across the country took notice and
wanted a show like this.   So The Great American Wild West Show got bigger and better and started
touring the USA.

“…our goal was to present ‘Western’ family entertainment at its highest level with the presentation and
production similar to a Broadway show, except this show takes place in large arenas enhanced with
flashing lights and exciting music and thousands of spectators.  Our audiences love it.  They stand in
long lines for an autographed poster or photo with our performers.  They tell us it brings back great
memories when they were kids watching the Cowboy Heroes on TV and movies and they want their
kids and grandkids to have that kind of experience, and they do…” says Endsley.

Don and Sharon have spent their entire life together performing and being involved in the Western
lifestyle.  Before creating the Great American Wild West Show Don spent almost 30 years as one of the
top Professional rodeo announcers in the Country.  He was the ‘voice’ of the last NFR held in
Oklahoma City in 1984.   In 2011 Don was inducted into the Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame in Ft
Worth, where they lived for 25 years.

The spectacular arena shows are the trademark but the Great American Wild West Show has been
featured in many versions for venues like the Legendary Stardust Hotel in Las Vegas and special
events, opening ceremonies for the NFR in Las Vegas, Western themed activities for the New Orleans
NBA Basketball, and Denver Nuggets, Mark Twain Days in Hartford, Conn., Teddy Roosevelt Days in
Montauk Long Island, New York and many more.  The Great American Wild West Show played to sell-
out crowds at Denver’s National Western for 13 years.

Producing the Great American Wild West Show is a family operation with Don and Sharon writing the
scripts, producing the music, designing lighting and special effects, booking show dates and always
looking for new ways to make it all more thrilling and exciting year after year.  Their son Tim is the
show production manager keeping the shows flowing and working closely with the performers and
animals 24 hours a day.

In 2014 the shows will be featured at the 50th Celebration of ‘Nebraskaland Days’ in North Platte,
where Buffalo Bill Cody staged his first ever wild west shows in 1882.

In 2011 Don was ‘keynote’ speaker at the Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock.

The award winning ‘Great American Wild West Show’ has become the premier, one of a kind action
packed Western show for family audiences across the USA.  It’s always Spectacular…You have to see
it, to believe it.
